What is G4C Learn?
G4C Learn programs empower youth to become socially conscious digital storytellers and creators, using game design to integrate STEAM skills with social-emotional learning. G4C designs learning experiences for youth and educators across a wide range of content areas that are inclusive, hands-on and relevant to their skills, experience, and interests.

All of the work we do harnesses the power of play, design, choice, resilience, community, and driving real-world change. To learn more about these design principles, click HERE.

Play transforms learning into a joyful, meaningful, and immersive experience. We believe:Â
- Play deepens engagement, making learning fun, accessible, and memorable for all learners.
- Playful learning supports both cognitive development and social-emotional growth.
- Play fosters curiosity, collaboration, and creative risk-taking.
- When students play, they explore, experiment, and imagine new possibilities.

Design empowers learners to be creators, not just consumers, of knowledge and experience. We believe:Â
- Every learner has the potential to become a designer, maker, and creative problem solver.
- Design thinking nurtures critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation.
- Understanding systems helps learners make sense of the world and imagine how to improve it.
- Designing for others builds empathy, perspective-taking, and purpose.

Choice cultivates agency, creativity, and connection to purpose. We believe:Â
- Learning is most powerful when it taps into students’ passions and interests.
- Giving learners voice and choice builds confidence, ownership, and intrinsic motivation.
- Creativity thrives when students have the freedom to express themselves authentically.
- Honoring student choice leads to more meaningful and personalized learning journeys.

- Resilience is built through challenge, reflection, and perseverance. We believe:
- Failure is an essential part of learning and growth.
- Young people need opportunities to navigate uncertainty, iterate, and adapt.
- STEAM and computer science education build not just skills, but resilience and resourcefulness.
- Social-emotional learning supports students in building the self-awareness and regulation needed to thrive.
- Preparing youth for the future means helping them become confident, flexible, and future-ready.

- Community fosters belonging, collaboration, and shared purpose. We believe:Â
- Learning flourishes in environments where students feel seen, valued, and supported.
- Collaboration strengthens both individual and collective growth.
- Building inclusive learning communities for youth and educators drives lasting impact.
- Creating space for connection helps learners become more empathetic and engaged citizens.

Learning should empower students to shape the world around them. We believe:Â
- Young people have the power to address real-world challenges through creativity and action.
- Curriculum should be rooted in social impact, justice, and relevance to students’ lives.
- We believe students thrive when they see themselves as problem-solvers, leaders, and change agents.
- We believe education must prepare students not just for the future, but to shape it.
